UK TV star and Twitter powerhouse Jonathan Ross has been doing his part in building the hype for Nintendo’s 3DS by discussing the device on the micro-blogging service.
Ross, who has 825k+ followers on Twitter, revealed that he has "been invited by Nintendo to host a conference next week that gives out info on the 3DS. Tried it yesterday!" Presumably he is referring to the official European announcement gathering that takes place on Wednesday afternoon in Amsterdam.
He added: "What I can say about 3DS is that the 3D is far better than I would have thought possible without glasses. Can be switched to regular 2D!
"Think it’s because the screen is small that it can be done effectively without need for glasses. I only had unfinished prototype. But a couple of very cool new features."
Interestingly, the move comes just a week after the Office of Fair Trading announced that it intends to take a closer look at celebrity product endorsements on the social network.
The OFT is concerned after it emerged that stars such as US rapper Snoop Dogg, UK TV presenter Ben Shephard and actress Liz Hurley had received payments of up to $3,000 per text to tweet about products, despite not having informed followers of their financial incentive.
