Killzone screens land Guerilla in more controversy

Guerilla Games, the developer of hot PS3 FPS Killzone 2, has found itself embroiled in fanboy-angering controversy yet again with the admission that the screenshots it released of the game last week were doctored.

When Killzone 2 was first showed off to the world at E3 2005 the world was astonished by its amazing graphics – so when it turned out to be a pre-rendered video the tiresome internet backlash was unsurprising.

Now PSU.com has sparked off controversy once again by posting images of the screenshots side by side with the actual in-game video shown at the most recent E3, which appear to show that the recent stills have been enhanced a little.

Reacting on the PS3 forum, one of Guerilla’s developers has confirmed that a little retouching had taken place, but has claimed that it was just to offset the usual quality loss suffered when stills are taken from a video source.
