New Wii survival horror unveiled

A brand new original survivor horror game entitled Cursed Mountain has been unveiled by Deep Silver, who will be both developing and publishing the title.

Set in the 1980s, the game sees players assume the role of a mountaineer climbing the Himalayas in an effort to find his lost brother. However, an ancient curse throws a ghostly spanner in the works.

The title promises rich visuals and expansive vistas, with he entire gameworld visible from the highest peaks. And of course, the game will utilise the Wii’s motion controls

Deep Silver development studio’s MD Hannes Seifert said of the game: With a fresh setting, gloomy atmosphere and the innovative use of the Wii controls, Cursed Mountain will deliver a unique, terrifying game play experience.

Deep Silver is confident that Cursed Mountain will help to further establish our international presence, and help expand the survival horror game genre on the Wii platform."

The game is set for a global release in 2009.
