Nintendo reveals new free game offer for new 3DS buyers

Another free game offer has been unveiled to try and tempt consumers into buying a 3DS system this Christmas.

To qualify gamers must register a new 3DS or 3DS XL and either Super Smash Bros or Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire between today (September 11th) and January 12th 2015.

Once that’s done users can choose one free download from the following selection – The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Yoshi’s New Island, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Mario Golf: World Tour, Mario Party: Island Tour or Pokmon Art Academy.

Codes can be requested until February 12th 2015. The offer is exclusive to the UK and a handful of other PAL regions.

At the end of last year Super Mario 3D Land was offered as a freebie to those who bought a 3DS console one of ten 3DS titles. And just recently Nintendo was offering a free game from a selection if you purchased Mario Kart 8 on Wii U.

UPDATE: Just to clarify, that’s ‘new 3DS’ with a little ‘n’. As in a current 3DS or 3DS XL that is bought in a box from a shop. Not ‘New 3DS’ with a big ‘N’, as per the new hardware entitled ‘New 3DS’ and New 3DS XL’ that’s out in Japan and next month and in the UK in 2015. Sorry for the confusion. Although we’re still a bit confused.
