Nintendo is now taking pre-orders for its toys-to-life Amiibo figure range.
The figures, which will interact with specific games for the Wii U, the New 3DS and older 3DS models for which users have purchased the required accessory, will retail for 10.99 each.
That’s in and around the same price as you’ll find for Skylanders and Disney Infinity figures, although of course those ranges also offer various things such as Playsets and premium figures at a far higher price.
That means Nintendo fans who wish to snap up all 12 face an outlay of 131.88. And more figures are likely to follow in the future, too.
Super Smash Bros will be the first game to support Amiibo, although support will at some stage also be added to Mario Kart 8.
The Amiibo range doesn’t yet have an official release date, although it’s expected that they will arrive alongside the still undated Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.
