PS4 claims biggest slice of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare sales

More copies Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare were sold on PS4 than any other platform, although the overall Xbox performance bettered the PlayStation platforms.

Videogamer reports that 35 per cent of the game’s week one sales in the UK were on PS4 and 32 per cent on Xbox One.

However, 21 per cent were on Xbox 360 and just 11 per cent on PS3.

All of which means that Xbox platforms accounted for 53 per cent of sales and PlayStation 46 per cent.

As reported earlier today, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bettered the week one sales numbers of predecessor Ghosts, grabbing the UK No.1 in the process. In doing so it became the fifth biggest Call of Duty launch in the UK.

Advanced Warfare’s week one unit sales actually beat the sales of Destiny, Titanfall and Wolfenstein combined by almost 14 per cent.
