Resident Evil 5 special editions unveiled

Capcom’s

Japanese website

has revealed the various special editions of Resident Evil 5, which offer console-specific extras for consumers looking to buy more than the standard package.

The translation by Adriasang.com reveals that the PS3 version includes a special making-of video extra, apparently professionally produced by ‘Hollywood staff’. The documentary comes on the same disk as game itself, presenting gamers with what Capcom are claiming is the world’s first hybrid of game and Blu-ray video for the console.

The limited Xbox 360 package is called the Deluxe Edition, and includes a game soundtrack CD inside exclusive metal packaging. The two bundles join the previously announced Limited Edition version, which includes the game, a 2Gb memory stick based on an in-game item, a 32-page art book and waist pouch.

Resident Evil 5 is due to be released in Europe on Friday March 13th
