Sonic Boom gets November dates for 3DS, Wii U

Sonic the Hedgehog reboot Sonic Boom will release for 3DS and Wii U this November, Sega has announced.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will launch on November 11th for Nintendo 3DS (pictured), while Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric lands on Wii U one week later on November 18th.

Sonic Boom is a re-imagining of Sega’s classic platformer franchise, introducing new character designs and new characters in general.

The franchise’s typical development studio Sonic Team doesn’t actually have a hand in this one. Sanzaru Games is taking on the 3DS version, with Big Red Button handling Wii U duties.
