Sony details new cross-platform IP; Shadow of the Beast revamp set for PS4

New IP on the way from Sony’s worldwide studios.

Sony showcased an array of new IP from developers for the PS4, in addition to the PS3 and Vita.

First up was Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture from UK developer The Chinese Room. Built using Cry Engine 3, the title will follow up the studio’s previous hit Dear Esther.

Sony also showcased cross-play title Helldivers, a squad-based shooter from Swedish publisher Paradox Interactive, who produced 2011’s Magicka. The title’s multiplayer will span across the PS4, PS3 and Vita.

Finnish studio Housemarque used Sony’s presentation to showcase Resogun, an arcade shooter available on Vita and PS4 at launch.

In addition to indie titles, Sony also confirmed a revamped edition of Amiga classic Shadow of the Beast would be coming to PS4.
