Sony has made further commitments to dramatically lower the costs of PSP development.
After SCEA president Jack Tretton announced at E3 last week that Sony has slashed the cost of PSP dev kits by as much as 80 percent, the company has also pledged to cut the price of its PSP testing tools as well.
Testing tool models DTP-H2500A and DTP-H2500, both used for quality assurance throughout PSP software development, are now available at just €800 in Europe, $1,000 in North America and ¥100,000 in Japan.
Sony says that, by providing a lower-cost game development environment, the group will “meet the needs of various game development styles and accelerate software development.”
PSP development kits DTP-T2000A and DTP-T2000 are both now priced at $1,500 in North America and €1,200 in Europe.
