Super Smash Bros Wii U and Amiibo dated for UK, six new figures announced

Nintendo has announced a UK release date for both the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros and its toys-to-life Amiibo figures.

The Wii U title will arrive on December 5th.

Amiibo, however, will launch a week earlier on November 28th when 12 figures will hit stores – Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Link, Fox, Samus, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Pikachu, Kirby and Marth.

Furthermore, six additional previously figures will be released on December 19th – Zelda, Diddy Kong, Luigi, Little Mac, Pit and Captain Falcon.

Also announced is a bundle including the Wii U game and the Mario Amiibo figure and a bundle with the game and GameCube controller adapter. Plus, it will be compatible with the wireless GameCube Wavebird controller.

A standalone black GameCube controller will also go on sale on December 5th, alongside a standalone black controller adapter.

Nintendo has also confirmed that the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros, which was released in Japan in September and earlier this month in the West, has now sold over 2.8m units.
