UPDATE: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim heading to PS4 and Xbox One?

Could smash-hit RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim be the next game in line for a next-gen re-release?

NeoGaf spotted a change to the game’s info page on the Bethesda website that listed both PS4 and Xbox One amongst its supported formats. These additions have since been removed.

There’s other speculative evidence that such a release might be on the cards, but for the time being this has to be regarded has nothing other than speculation.

Skyrim wouldn’t be the first last-gen title to receive a next-gen re-release.

Square Enix will next month release Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on both next-gen consoles. Ubisoft’s Rayman: Legends is also getting a slight re-working for next-gen while Sony has recently re-released a handful of digital games on PS4 including Flow and Flower.

UPDATE: Bethesda’s Pete Hines is pinning this all on a simple web coding error.
