VIDEO: Nintendo shows new The Legend of Zelda Wii U gameplay

Nintendo showed gameplay for its 2015 blockbuster The Legend of Zelda for Wii U.

The video showed Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto play the game alongside franchise creator Eiji Aonuma, and featured some lush wildlife, a huge gameplay map and the horse Epona (who can now ride by itself). There were a few weapons used, too, and you can watch it all below.

At one point Miyamoto questioned the game’s 2015 release date, but Aonuma insisted it will definitely arrive before the end of next year.

Oh, and one last slightly strange titbit at the end was Miyamoto telling Aonuma that his Star Fox game will be available before his Zelda game. We’re not entirely sure what that had to do with anything, but the confirmation that a Miyamoto-made Star Fox game will be out next year is certainly something work getting excited about.
