Xbox claims 69% of Brink sales

Bethesda’s online-centric shooter Brink saw over two thirds of its week one sales claimed by Xbox 360.

Brink was this morning confirmed as the UK’s new No.1.

Eurogamer reports that Microsoft’s platform accounted for 69 per cent of total boxed sales. PS3 claimed 23 per cent.

Though you’d expect a new shooter release to perform well on Xbox – it’s very much the console’s natural market – it’s hard not to conclude that the PS3 SKU took a particularly big hit thanks to the PSN outage.

Though PSN is now back online, it wasn’t when the game was released on Friday.

Digital sales over Steam are unknown.
