Youth event to attract 50,000 consumers

A new consumer show aimed at youngsters and families is expected to pull in 50,000 visitors, and games will play a major role.

The Young People’s Fringe festival kicks off next year on the weekend of June 18th and June 19th at Alexandra Palace, London.

Consumers will be able to play together on 22 game pods. There will also be a stage full of 3D and motion games, as well as an NSPCC casual gaming area.

There will also be a beach party, electric bike races and street dancing. On top of this, a ‘games bus’ will travel across London over an eight-week period.

Festival director Adrienne Montes of organiser Flying Pig said: There is a gap in the market for festivals where casual, hardcore and family gamers can play.

For sponsors this offers added value, offering global branding options to reach the tech savvy youth market.”
