Critical hit Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons gets PS3 and PC release date

PS3 and PC gamers won’t have to wait long for current critical darling Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

The Starbreeze Studios game will be released on PSN and Steam on August 28th according to publisher 505 Games.

The game arrived on Xbox Live Arcade yesterday amidst a sea of praise from the consumer press. It currently has a Metacritic average of 86 per cent.

Polygon, which scored it 9/10, said of the game: Brothers tests the limits of what games are capable of communicating and, in doing so, strengthens the medium as a whole, if only a little.

The game’s final moments moved me to tears in the act of pressing a button. Not because it triggered some heart-wrenching dialogue or sorrowful music, but by the implications of the mechanic itself. I’m not sure there’s a better compliment I can pay or a better indicator of how important of a game Brothers is.”
