Dark Souls hit by PSN crisis

The development of Dark Souls has been hit by the temporary closure of PSN.

Producer Kei Horono admitted the game’s development has slowed somewhat, but insisted it will still meet its deadline. The title is due in early October.

"It has impacted us and held the team back a bit," Horono told MCV in an interview conducted at Namco Bandai’s Level Up event in Dubai.

"But we will be out in early October. We won’t miss that."

Dark Souls is due on Xbox 360 and PS3. It is the spiritual successor to 2010’s hit PS3 exclusive RPG, Demon’s Souls.

PSN has now been down for three weeks.
