Deus Ex: Mankind Divided becomes PS4’s first HDR compatible game

High Dynamic Range support was added to PS4 via its 4.00 patch last month, but until now no games have actually supported the feature.

However, that has now changed with news that Square Enix’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been updated to offer HDR visuals on Sony’s machine. It has also been confirmed that the game will offer 4K visuals and improved graphics when played on a PS4 Pro, which will be released in November.

HDR has also been added to the Xbox release for Xbox One S owners.

Remember, those wanting to play in HDR will also need a compatible TV.

A lot of noise was made about HDR’s inclusion in the Xbox One S. Sony then went one step further by not only championing the tech for the upcoming PS4 Pro, but also then adding it to existing consoles via an update.

It was reported yesterday that PSVR owners will have to unplug their headsets if they wish to take advantage of HDR visuals on their console.
