Deus Ex: Mankind Divided headed to PS4, Xbox One and PC

It turns out that Square Enix’s rumoured Deus Ex reveal was, in fact, just that.

Originally teased in a cryptic ‘interactive’ teaser titled CantKillProgress, a new game in the cyberpunk RPG-shooter series was then supposedly leaked on NeoGaf, before being confirmed by Game Informer as its May cover.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will directly follow 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, being set two years later in 2029, and will star that game’s returning protagonist, Adam Jensen.

However, due to Human Revolution’s split ending, which could end in one of four different ways, player actions in the former title will seemingly not carry over to Mankind Divided.

New abilities at Jensen’s disposal in Mankind Divided’s open world include remote hacking, a projectile ‘nano blade’ and a near-indestructible ‘nanoshield’.

Back in 2014, Square Enix announced a new direction for the franchise dubbed the ‘Deus Ex Universe’.

The Universe was outlined as encompassing ‘games and experiences in other media’, in addition to traditional console and PC entries in the series.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is yet to receive a launch date, but has been confirmed for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
