Dexerto launching UK eSports academies

eSports news site Dexerto has partnered with SCL, a company that provides sport education in the UK, to launch eSports academies in the UK.

The academies will be for 16 to 18 year olds, and will offer them the chance to earn a BTEC Level 3 qualification, which is the equivalent to three A levels and thus is usually enough to get a student into university.

The academies will be rolled out in the UK, and the timing of the announcement suggests that they are looking to start in the next academic year, which begins in September 2017. They will provide government accredited eSports courses, although the exact name of the qualification or what it will involve are yet to be seen.

Dexerto and SCL are currently looking to hire a Project Manager who has experience in education and a passion for eSports. A full job description is available here
