DmC: Definitive Edition heading to next-gen in 1080p/60fps

Ninja Theory’s take on the Devil May Cry franchise is getting a re-release on PS4 and Xbox One.

DmC: Definitive Edition will be released on PS4 on March 17th priced at just 29.99.

As well as running in 1080p and 60fps, the game also has updated textures, characters, skins and cinematics and includes all post-release DLC. There’s also a new turbo mode, which speeds things up by 20 per cent, and a Hardcore gameplay mode that makes ranking up harder and more closely resembles previous releases in the series.

There’s also manual target lock, two additional difficulty modes, a new cutscene and a whole host of sweeping tweaks and balance changes.

DmC: Definitive Edition does what is says in its name,” the studio’s product development manager Dominic Matthews said. We’ve revisited DmC: Devil May Cry and improved, optimised and added to the game.

When creating the original DmC there were improvements that we wanted to make, but never got the chance to. In DmC Definitive Edition we have made those improvements.

We’ve taken on-board player feedback and implemented many of the most requested features. In addition, we’ve given DmC a full next-gen make over, with up-rezzed graphics and a silky smooth running speed of 60fps at 1080p. DmC Definitive Edition also comes bundled with all released DLC and a host of new modes.”
