Don’t Starve: Giant Edition hits Wii U in May

A special edition of Klei Entertainment’s popular survival game Don’t Starve is heading to Wii U next month.

The developer states Don’t Starve: Giant Edition will launch on Nintendo’s hardware with a 2-for-1 promotion providing an extra copy for customers to give to a friend.

Meanwhile, the game’s standalone multiplayer release Don’t Starve Together has just released the new Reign of Giants DLC, which adds a handful of new features to the game like larger biomes, seasons and the titular giants to deal with.

The game is currently in Early Access on Steam, and the DLC is free to current owners of the game. Owners of the original Don’t Starve title on Steam will continue to be offered a 75% off discount should they decide to purchase Together – and like the upcoming Wii U promotion, buyers get two copies per purchase.
