Square Enix is bringing one of its RPG cult classics to Nintendo’s current handheld.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King was first released in 2004 for PS2 (in Japan, at least – it didn’t arrive in Europe until 2006) but is now being ported to 3DS. It has a Japanese release date of August 27th.
Sadly there’s not yet any word about a western release for the Level-5 developed title.
Gematsu reports that the new version will bring with it a host of tweaks and additions including music from the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, StreetPass support and a full voice track.
There’s also a host of pre-order bonuses, as is the way, comprising of additional in-game weapons, items and armour all of which depends on the retailer from where the game is purchased.
