EA reinstates Battlefield 1943 offer

Having been threatened with legal action in a US court, EA has decided that it will now offer a free copy of digital shooter Battlefield 1943 to owners of Battlefield 3 on PS3.

Having announced the promotion earlier in the year, the release of Battlefield 3 came and went without trace of the freebie. As is to be expected, this lead to the requisite legal action in the US.

Now, however, the publisher has backtracked once again. European PS3 gamers will be able to claim their game on November 26th, US owners on December 10th and Asian gamers on December 17th.

Those wishing to do so need to ensure they’ve registered their Online Pass and then visit 1943redemption.battlefield.com on the aforementioned date and follow the instructions.
