ESL UK confirmed as production partner for Vainglory Spring Championship

ESL UK has been confirmed as the exclusive production partner for the Vainglory Spring Championship in May.

This means they’ll be partnering with Vainglory developer Super Evil Megacorp for the tournament, which will take place in Building Six at London’s O2 between the 19-21 May.

The event will pitch six of North America’s best Vainglory teams against six of Europe’s, to duke it out and determine which side of the pond is truly best at mobile-based wizard fights in front of a live audience.

ESL UK will be managing all production elements of the event from broadcasting and livestream operations all the way through to designing and building the set.

James Dean, ESL UK’s managing director, said: “It’s extremely exciting to see Vainglory’s continued success and we’re delighted to be working with Super Evil Megacorp to deliver the Spring Season Championship. Mobile gaming is an exciting and developing strand of esports which is set to have an increasingly prominent role in the future of professional competitive gaming.”

“We’re excited to be back in London for our first Unified Live Championships,” said Heini Vesander, Executive Esports Producer of Super Evil Megacorp. “Our players come first and we want to ensure they have the best possible experiences whether that’s at our community gatherings or tournaments and to do that we need to have a production partner that understands this. ESL continues to be a great partner for us and we’re excited to be working with them again on what will be the biggest mobile esports tournament to take place in the UK to date.”

Tickets for the three-day event are available now, with early-bird tickets costing just £10. It’ll be streamed on Twitch, Facebook and YouTube, or you can just download it from the App Store yourself and have a play.
