The London Games Conference 2015 programme is as follows…
3.00pm: The conference starts with award-winning UK production studio Axis Animation co-founder and creative director, Stuart Aitken, who’ll be addressing the subject of narrative in game trailers and their work on the original Dead Island trailer.
3.20pm: Matt Gill from Thinkbox, the marketing body for commercial TV in the UK will ask what role does traditional broadcast still play and the evolution of TV advertising.
3.40pm: OP Talent is a leading talent management agency representing the UK’s key gaming influencers, Ali-A and others. Liam Chivers, founder of the agency, will discuss the opportunities and challenges for brands and games.
4.00pm: Steve Bailey, games analyst with IHS, asks why video is the next level of sharing around games, examine the numbers behind the boom and trends in content creation.
4.30pm: Coffee break
5.00pm: James Beaven discusses why ‘Video killed my press list’, answering the questions from the perspective of Keymailer, an award-winning start-up that builds tools to simplify how YouTube and Twitch streamers work with the games industry and vice versa.
5.20pm: Presenter and owner of FamilyGamer TV, Andy Robertson, outlines his audience development strategy for creating the content that families want to engage with, As editor of Ask About Games he’ll also look at the issues of child safety.
5.40pm: Sam Bateman, brand planner from Twitter, looks at social trends across the platform and best practice for making content fly.
6.00pm: Creating game videos: the legal angle. Nic Murfett of leading video game law firm Harbottle & Lewis addresses the copyright, advertising and consumer law questions that publishers, studios, bloggers and all content creators need to be aware of.
6.30pm: Nick Parker, head of Parker Consulting and co-founder of GameVision Europe, presents new research on the correlation of video engagement with game sales and asks Does video really sell games?”
7.00pm: Conference closes
An after show networking party will follow until 9pm.
