Evo 2015 takes place this weekend and you can watch it all online

The world’s best known fighting game video game championships takes place in Las Vegas this weekend.

The Evolution Championship Series 2015 will feature some of the biggest names in eSports fighting and a host of title including Ultra Street Fighter IV, Mortal Kombat X, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Tekken 7, Super Smash Bros, Guilty Gear Xrd and Killer Instinct.

Over 2,000 registered players will be playing Street Fighter IV alone, with over 2,000 fights scheduled. It’s likely that SFIV will be replaced by Street Fighter V at the 2016 event.

The whole thing will be livestreamed on Twitch, with the first action taking place later on tonight.

We don’t know about you, but whenever we think about Evo there’s always one moment that springs to mind – Diago’s incredible finish against Justin Wong in Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike back at Evo 2004.

Both players will be present and correct this year, incidentally, with Diago playing Street Fighter and Wong Marvel vs Capcom.
