Facebook App Centre launches in UK

The age of buying apps within an app is upon us.

Facebook has launched its App Centre in the UK. It essentially allows Facebook users to acquire additional apps whilst browsing the social networking site on their PC, Mac or phone.

From that point on it gets a little weirder. Once an app is selected users are then taken to the relevant content provider’s app store from where the software itself is downloaded.

The only real difference is that the app in question will be linked to a user’s Facebook account.

The store currently numbers around 600 apps.

"The App Centre gives you personalised recommendations, and lets you browse the apps your friends use," a statement read. "It only lists high-quality apps, based on feedback from people who use the app."
