Forza Horizon 2 ‘a different game’ on Xbox One and 360

The differences between Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One and 360 will stretch beyond simply the visuals.

Playground Games is developing the Xbox One title with UK studio Sumo Digital handling Xbox 360 duties.

"It’s based in the same world, it’s based on the same themes," creative director Ralph Fulton told Digital Spy of the two releases. "Rather than thinking of them as the same game on different platforms, they are different games inspired by the same ideas.

"There are things we are doing in Forza Horizon 2 on Xbox One that honestly couldn’t be done on any other console.”

As well as being built using different engines, it sounds as if there may be differences relating to the weather and Drivatar systems

Forza Horizon 2 will be released on both machines on September 30th.
