Though Microsoft is yet to offer any official word on a UK discount to current Xbox 360 stock to mirror the move it has already made in North America, High Street retailer GAME has cut the price on some of its Xbox offerings ahead of the official launch of the Xbox 360 S next month.
The standard Xbox 360 Elite SKU, normally priced at 199.99, is now available for 149.99. The Arcade SKU is now priced at 119.99 – a 40 saving on the RRP.
GAME will also be offering buyers the chance to trade-in hardware they currently own for a discount on the new machine.
Other deals include the Xbox 360 Elite and a copy of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa for 169.99.
There’s little evidence of other retailers following suit, though there are some deals to be found out there. ShopTo is currently offering the Xbox 360 Elite for 169.85 while HMV will sell you the same machine for 174.99.
The Xbox 360 S will arrive in the UK on July 16th.
