Gamecom details easy travel plans

Ahead of the first ever Gamescom in Cologne this August, the event’s organisers have released details about the many ways visitors will be able to get to expo.

Travelling by air will be easy with European flights to Cologne/Bonn costing as little at €75. International travellers will fare well, too, with 55 different airlines currently serving the airport. Exclusive charter flights put on specifically for the event will be available, too. A direct train connects the airport to Koelnmesse.

Train links are decent, too, with rail passengers disembarking at Kln Messe/Deutz station finding themselves right on the doorstep of the trade show’s south entrance.

In addition, ten separate motorways intersect in or around Cologne, and a dynamic traffic routing system will be deployed to guide road users directly to the Keolnmesse car park. Special bus services from a number of German cities have also been laid on, many of which will be direct with no changes.

Accomodation can be booked directly though Keolnmesse Services at, with up to 70 partner hotels available.

Gamescom kicks off on August 19th in Cologne.
