Games help Englands World Cup bid

England and Chelsea football captain John Terry has revealed that the international squad believes video games can hep them win the World Cup next year.

Terry told the Express that England boss Fabio Capello enforces a strict leisure programme – but that video games are permitted under the Italian’s rule.

We’re not really allowed to do a lot when we’re away with England under Fabio Capello, so the computer games can really help and we’ve already asked for our Xboxes at the World Cup,” he said.

It might sound silly, but things like that can help us stay together. We’ll be playing a football game or an army game and Rio [Ferdinand] will be shouting to me, ‘You’ve got someone behind you’. It’s good, especially when you are stuck in one place.”
