GAMES MEDIA AWARDS 2016: One week till nominations close

There have been over 120 nominations for this year’s GMAs, but there’s still a week to go if you’d like to recommend yourself, a colleague, or even a competitor for one of this year’s Games Media Awards.

Nominations will close on Friday August 26th.

The Games Media Awards are celebrating their tenth anniversary in 2016, with the event championing the best in writers, presenters and brands in the UK games business.

The GMAs 2016 will take place on Tuesday October 11th at Sway Bar, London, and nominations for the categories close a week today – make sure you don’t miss out.

Once again, the awards will be judged by individual panels, with the categories including:-

News Writer
Features Writer
Games Critic
Best Coverage by a Newspaper
Video Team
Best Coverage by a Mainstream Media Brand
Radio/Podcast Team
Rising Star
Editorial Team of the Year
Journalists’ Journalist

The event this year will be a more informal affair, rather than a sit-down dinner. Tickets will be priced accordingly at 79, and some 150 media will be invited to attend for free.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact Lesley McDiarmid via or Conor Tallon via to find out more.
