Garden Warfare’s playable zombies detailed as EA celebrates Plants vs Zombies 2 success

Players will be able to control zombies in the next-gen action shooter Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare.

The new classes were detailed during EA’s Gamescom press conference.

Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare will be available for Xbox One first, before coming to other formats. This SKU will be released in Spring 2014.

The Xbox One SKU will also have an exclusive new boss mode.

Electronic Arts also championed the success of Plants Vs Zombies 2 which launched for mobile devices last month.

The game has been downloaded 16m times since launch, and it debuted at No.1 in dozens of countries. Players have played more than 25 million hours.
