The Guardian won the Games Media Award for best coverage in a national newspaper for the third year running last night.
The newspaper beat out The Daily Telegraph, Daily Star Sunday, The Independent, The Sun and Daily Mirror to win.
The Guardian hosts a variety of games content, from its dedicated Gamesblog through to regular coverage in the print publication.
The Games Media Awards were held at Jongleurs, Camden, and hosted hundreds of the UK’s games media and marketing and PR execs.
Key sponsors were Bethesda’s WET, Activision’s DJ Hero, Electronic Arts, Formula One 2009 from Codemasters, IL-2 Stumovik from 505 Games, Namco Bandai, New Super Mario Bros Wii from Nintendo, Saw from Konami, Scribblenauts from Warner Bros., Sega, Ubisoft, and Xbox 360.
