Goat Simulator hits PlayStation consoles next month

Goat Simulator is heading to PS4 and PS3 consoles this August, the game’s console port developer Double Eleven has announced.

The PlayStation US Blog reveals Coffee Stain Studios’ absurd affair will arrive August 11th for Sony’s current and last-gen console hardware.

Aside from including the features from previous platform releases, the PlayStation versions will offer the exclusive debut of "GoatVR," – a mode Double Eleven describes as a "simulated GoatVR experience" that doesn’t yet require a virtual reality headset.

The mode is still a work in progress, but a pre-release version will be packed in the upcoming release.

"We still need to do that part where it connects to an actual headset but for now you can enjoy a simulated GoatVR experience without it," Double Eleven COO Mark South said.

"We’ve also added a score multiplier to help offset the concerns we’ve had from a very few number of Beta testers that felt it was somewhat difficult to ‘see where you are going.’"

Double Elven developed the Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions that launched earlier this year as well. The game is also currently available on PC, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android.
