Gone Home: Console Edition delayed on launch day in Europe

The console SKUs of Gone Home are been pushed back in Europe and Australia.

In a tweet (below) from the game’s official account, developer The Fullbright Company announced that Gone Home’s release had been pushed back – on the day it was meant to be launching.

The delay is due to ‘last minute complications with ratings/cert’, meaning the game either ran into issues with PEGI rating or console certification (the approval process for getting a title on console).

Gone Home has launched on console in America without hitch.

Though this delay will surely disappoint some fans, it should be noted that for most of 2015, it was thought that the the Console Edition was no-longer in existence. Fullbright said in March that Gone Home: Console Edition had been cancelled after publisher Majesco ran into financial difficulties.

Then in December 2015, it was revealed that the game not only was still in development, but was set for a January 2016 release date.
