Halo 5 to be played on world’s biggest flying screen

Australian Halo fans will get to see the first 15 minutes of the next entry in the sci-fi series the day before the game’s launch. But there’s a catch…

…and the catch is that the display showing the campaign footage will be flying some 2,000 feet (609 metres) above the city of Sydney.

That’s thanks to local office Xbox Australia, which will launch the world’s largest aerial screen into the sky next Monday, October 26th. That’s the day before Halo 5’s launch date of October 27th.

The screen will take flight at 7:30pm, travelling down the coast from Curl Curl to Coogee before turning around and heading back.

But those living a little further away need not worry – the sizeable display will be visible from more than three kilmoetres away.

One lucky fan, selected from pre-orderers of either the game or the Xbox One console bundle, will even be handed control of the Master Chief for the gameplay.

Let’s hope they don’t die – or their shame will be broadcast to thousands of people. Gulp.
