HTC’s Vive software portal goes live

While Steam is the natural home for HTC Vive, owners of the VR headset are now also able to buy their games from the manufacturer’s own portal.

Viveport is now live in 30 major territories, having launched in China earlier this year. As part of the launch, a number of games have been cut to just 0.77, including The Blu, Mars Odyssey and La Peri.

The site will also be the first place where buyers can get hold of a number of titles, including Everest VR and Stonehenge VR.

Over the past few months, our teams in San Francisco, Seattle, Taipei, Beijing and London have been working closely with developers and content creators worldwide on a private beta of Viveport, the app store for virtual reality,” HTC said.

We believe Viveport is the place where you will begin your journey into new virtual reality experiences. Fans in over 30 countries will join us on a fantastic voyage, as they get to experience amazing VR content published by the best creators in the industry.”
