IGN launches in Spain

Games media giant IGN is launching a new European site in Spain.

It is also expanding across the entire Nordic region.

The Spanish site is in partnership with Unidad Editorial, which owns newspapers Marca, El Mundo and Expansion, and also runs a range of TV and radio stations, magazines and digital properties in Spain and across Latin America.

Meanwhile, Reset Media, which runs the IGN Sweden site, is opening sites in Denmark, Finland and Norway.

We have been watching the creation of amazing content on the Spanish edition with huge smiles on our faces, and we’re very proud to join David’s team today as they reveal it to Spanish gamers," said international business development director for IGN, Adam Doree.

Reset Media is a world class games media specialist and has proven to be a superb partner for IGN in Sweden. They have significantly built IGN’s local presence since launching, and we are confident this will continue across the rest of the Nordic region.”

The rollout across Spain and the Nordic regions follows successful IGN launches in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Benelux, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
