Immortals acquire Tempo Storm CS:GO team

The Immortals organisation has signed the Tempo Storm CS:GO team, marking its first venture outside of League of Legends.

Immortals was first formed late last year, and fielded a League of Legends team in the North American LCS during the Spring Split. Now, just before its LoL team is due to start in the NA LCS once again the organisation has signed Brazilian CS:GO team Tempo Storm.

Tempo Storm have been slowly establishing themselves as one of the top American teams, with a victory at the CEVO Gfinity Season 9 LAN finals being the team’s biggest result yet. The move will now see them play under the Immortals banner.

"While it saddens me to part ways with the team, Immortals will be an excellent home for them,” said Tempo Storm owner Andrey "Reynad" Yanyuk. I am extremely proud of what the players have accomplished during their time with Tempo Storm and I wish them the best of luck in their careers moving forward. We’ll be back in the CS:GO scene before long!”

We are very happy to join Immortals,” said Henrique "HEN1" Teles, one of the new Immortals players. It’s incredible the support they have given us since the first day. We have never been so motivated to reach our goals and be the best. We would like to thank Immortals for this opportunity and we will not take this for granted. We are going to keep doing our work and representing Immortals in the best way we can.”

The new Immortals team will be playing at the ESL One Cologne Qualifiers that take place between June 9th and 12th.
