Independence Day gaming sales and offers here

Today is India’s 67th Independence Day, and several online games retailers are offering discounts in celebration. We’ve listed them all out below:

Humble Origin Bundle

The biggest deal of them all is not exactly an Independence Day offer, but it coincides with the date, so it’s fair game. As with each Humble Bundle, the Origin bundle has a bunch of games up for grabs and you can pay whatever you’d like for the bundle. Here’s a list of games available:

  • Dead Space
  • Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box
  • Crysis 2 Maximum Edition
  • Mirror’s Edge
  • Dead Space 3
  • Medal of Honor

If you end up paying more than the current average ($4.63 at the time of writing), you’ll also get Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 + Starter Pack, plus soundtracks for both games. Eight games for less than Rs 300 is an absolute steal!

Flipkart is offering 15% off on all games released within the first half of 2013. It includes over 50 titles across platforms, including:

  • Bioshock Infinite
  • Tomb Raider
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition
  • Civilization V: Brave New World
  • Remember Me
  • Grid 2
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Game4u’s Freedom Sale spans four days from 15th to 18th and also includes a Flash sale daily from 4 to 4:30 pm. Here’s what Game4u has on offer:

  • Buy The Last of Us, get Journey Collector’s Edition free
  • Select PC games at Rs 699 – Assassin’s Creed 3, Bully: Scholarship Edition (download), DmC: Devil May Cry, Hitman: Absolution, Remember Me, Resident Evil 6
  • A bundle of five pre-owned PS3 games for Rs 1,999

On Independence Day only, NextWorld is offering 10% off on all in-stock items at the website. Use the INDIGAME offer code at checkout to avail the discount.

Snapdeal’s Digital Freedom sale is offering discounts on console bundles, with up to 9% on PS3 and PS Vita console+game bundles, and up to 21% off on select Xbox 360 bundles. That 21% discount, however, applies on Snapdeal’s own bundles; the standard bundles are being sold at a 5% discount.

We’ll keep updating this page with more offers and sales as we come across them.
