Jak and Daxter Collection confirmed

Sony has at last confirmed that it will indeed release a Jak and Daxter HD Collection on PS3.

There’s no word yet on a possible release date.

The release is far from the first of its kind for Sony, which has already revisited a number of PS2 IPs on PS3 such as Sly Racoon, God of War, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

Jak and Daxter first debuted in 2001 on PS2 and was followed by Jak 2 in 2003 and the ambitious open-world Jak 3 a year later. The last release in the series was The Lost Frontier in 2009.

The series is developed by Naughty Dog.
