Japan gets its own version of the NES Mini

A Famicom-themed version of the NES Mini has been announced for Japan.

The Mini Famicom, as it will be called, resembles the white and scarlet design originally sported by the console in its home country as opposed to the grey and black finish we’re accustomed to in the West.

The 30 included games are a little different, too, with Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Atlantic no Nazo, Solomon’s Key, Tsuppari: Oozumou, River City Ransom, Final Fantasy III, Downtown Nekketsu March: Let’s Go to the Great Athletic Meet and NES Open Tournament Golf taking the place of a few of the games that will appear on the UK machine.

Punch Out, Castlevania and Bubble Bobble are probably the biggest omissions.
