JAPAN: Pokémon app due this summer

The Pokmon series is coming to mobile devices this summer with Pokmon Say Tap.

Nintendo will soon release the new rhythm action game for iPhone, iPad and Android in Japan for free.

The games sees players tapping in time with songs from the most recent Pokmon cartoon series. They also collect virtual trading cards based on monsters from this year’s Pokmon Black and White.

There’s currently no word on whether the app will be released outside of Japan. Given VG247’s report that the previous Pokmon mobile game, Pokmate, never made it to the West, it’s highly unlikely that Say Tap will.
