William "Leffen" Hjelte has dropped out of the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament at Community Effort Orlando (CEO) due to personal reasons.
The Smash Bros star tweeted earlier in the week that he will not be at CEO but will still take part at EVO next month. The news came just days before CEO is due to start, on June 24th, and was somewhat of a surprise. Exact details on why he has dropped out have not been made public.
Not going to CEO anymore out of personal details. I'll explain a bit more later but thought I'd let you guys know asap. Cya at EVO =(

CEO was set to be Leffen’s first event in the USA since September of last year. At the end of 2015 Leffen was denied a US P1 visa, as Smash Bros was not deemed to be a sport. However a large campaign that went under the name #FreeLeffen managed to help secure Leffen the appropriate visa and CEO was announced as his return event.
Fellow competitors will certainly welcome the news as Leffen has been on something of a hot streak recently. Just a few days ago he took home the DreamHack Smash Championship and also managed to place first at GOML last month.
