Ligagame to build eSports arena in Indonesia

Ligagame eSports, an eSports channel and organisation based in Indonesia, has announced it will be building an eSports arena in the country.

Eddy Lim, Founder and CEO of Ligagame, discussed the plans while speaking to eSports Observer. He revealed that the eSports arena will be built in the country’s capital, Jakarta, and with the building process already underway it should be ready to open in early 2018.

“Ligagame strives for excellence and has always demanded the best on all fronts,” Lim said in a statement to eSports Observer. “The Arena will be a place for eSports enthusiasts in Indonesia, especially in the Jabodetabek Area, to converge and enjoy quality eSports tournaments and events.”

Ligagame has acquired a building with around 750m2 of indoor space which resides in 20,000m2 of land. 5000m2 of that space will be used for the arena project. “Ligagame will also include state-of-the-art features such as high-speed internet, public Wi-Fi, gaming tournament-grade booths for competition usage, and a big stage worthy of LAN events finals,” Lim explained. As well as eSports events, plans are in place to use the arena for press conferences, product launches and other associated events.
