LittleBigPlanet online features to arrive post-launch

Speaking on the US PlayStation blog, a member of the Media Molecule development team has confirmed that LittleBigPlanet’s online Create mode, which allows players to work together on the creation of user-made levels, will not be available out of the box.

Instead, the anticipated functionality will be added to the title some time after release via a patch.

The statement, which appeared on the US PlayStation Blog’s forums, reads: The ability to create with your friends online will come as part of the first major update after the game is released. Offline creating with up to four people on one PS3, however, is available right from the get go.

The next question will undoubtedly be ‘when is the first update due’ and right now there is no specific time set at the moment, however with the game having gone gold, the team at Media Molecule are already hard at work on content for the game after its release, with online multiplayer creating top of the list.”
