Lucy James joins GameSpot

GameSpot has announced that Lucy James has joined the site as a video producer.

James has worked in the games media for two and a half years and in that time has worked for Ginx TV – hosting flagship show The Blurb – as well as Sky and The Guardian. She started her time in the industry as an intern for GameSpot. During her career she has also been nominated for two Games Media Awards.

I loved my time at GameSpot and jumped at the chance to come back," said James.

"Original content was the key. GameSpot has a track record for giving its team license to be creative and unique with editorial and video and I’m looking forward to working on this with a group that I know and love, and one that is well-respected within the industry.”

The site’s managing producer Seb Ford added: "Lucy’s ability to developoriginal and creative material for gamers to enjoy has made her amajor player in the industry.

"We’re delighted to have her on board and we’re looking forward to seeing her take GameSpot’s video content to the next level.”
