May and Hammond will not be joined by Clarkson in Forza 6

Only two members of Top Gear’s (nor former) iconic trio will feature in Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox One racer Forza Motorsport 6.

Videogamer reports that while Richard Hammond and James May will lend their voices to the game, controversial presenter Jeremy Clarkson will not. Top Gear and its talent have previously featured in both Forza 4 and Forza 5.

"We have a great relationship with Top Gear," the game’s creative director Bill Giesesaid. "We’ll include their Top Gear Track. The producers and writers have come up with some really cool Showcase events for us as well. Jeremy Clarkson will not be a part of the game.

"What’s great about [Hammond and May] is they give the automotive passion to tell you why these cars are so important. And then you’ve got things like Showcase events where we’ve got a tonne of professional race car drivers, and they’re doing all sorts of stuff: Endurance to Autocross, being able to give these players this sense of [there being] so much to motorsport."

Clarkson was sacked from Top Gear earlier this year after throwing a punch at one of the show’s producers during filming. Hammond and May confirmed their departure earlier this week, while Chris Evans has been named as the new main host.

Forza Motorsport 6 will arrive on Xbox One on September 15th.
